Our Journey

Far too many families in our community struggle to find stable, affordable housing in central Austin. Since 1983, we have helped keep innumerable people from succumbing to Austin's growing homeless population.

From our beginnings as a community pushing back against the powerful University of Texas, our story has been one of community power, fighting for dignity and justice in the form of affordable housing. For the original residents who won in the face of immeasurable odds, we are The Dream, we are The Miracle.
